BRAMBLE BAY WIDE GAMES

BRAMBLE BAY & CHARLES S SNOW

WIDE GAMES

Widegame has been run annually by Bramble Bay/CharlesSSnow Districts since 2013 (except Covid year 2020). Each widegame runs in a different location, has a diiferent theme and provides 6 bases with a varity of challenges for the participants to visit and gain points.

This is a fun event run for Scouts, Venturers and Rovers. Each section has a different role and everyone is encouraged to come dressed up in the theme. Venturers have the opportunity to run and help on the activity bases with leader support. There is a series of Newsletters to read leading up the the night to give a background to the story. Venturers need to register on the wide game website and choose the Venturer Registration Form. The Newsletters can also be accessed on the website.

Wide Game is run the first Friday night in June. You can check out the website and look into the history of Wide Games here: http://widegame.info/

Venturers will be running the bases.

3.Pentridge Prison, Coburg Vic

5. Police Station & Stables, Wagga Wagga
6. McGlede's Farm, Gundagai

The Bracken Ridge Venturers will be manning the Pentridge Prison where there will be a jail break. The Venturers will create an obstacle course resembling a prison break that will challenge the scouts to complete with in a set timeframe.

A series of news articles are released written by the Crim Correspondent of the time, Arciboldo Garibaldi, also know as Archie Bald by his pen name. The articles contail usefull information to give the Scouts an advantage on the game night and also allow the Venturers to theme thier bases.
